Audi S8 2014
What’s your’re seating preference? If you prefer to call the shots from the back, you’ll want the A8 with the W-12. At $135,000, ifs a bit more expensive, but it’s got an extra five inches of legroom at the rear and ultra-smooth, 500-horsepower W-12 engine to help a chauffeur navigate traffic. Include the Executive Rear Seat package and you’re treated to reclining chairs with massage functions. “Jeeves, for tonight, lef s circle the theater while we watch a movie. I presume the center cooler has a bottle of champagne?” People that have to take the helm will want to stick to the Audi S8 and its shorter wheelbase. Audi has taken the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 to new extremes. It offers the 420-horsepower version, also found in the S6 and S7, in the A8’s mid-range model. For the S8, it endows that same power plant with 100 more horsepower for a stout output of 520. With aluminum already composing the body panels, there was little room to lose weight, but with an extra 70 horsepower over the previous V-10-powered S8, the new amount of verve is easily perceptible, no matter where you sit.
